when john and frances smersh over at smersh design and jewelry asked me to photograph their new line, i was so excited as i’ve been secretly pining for one of their necklaces myself. their specialty is using cork and concrete within their jewelry which i think gives it such a different kind of look. here’s what they had printed up right away for the trade show they’re at in new york as we speak…

if you’re in or around seattle you should check them out at their little store in west seattle that also sells contemporary home furnishings, personal accessories, glassware, furniture, handbags, and of course.. their jewelry.
