ryan + crystal : engaged in fort greene10.11.2012

i love it when a client comes to me with an idea for their shoot that’s a little different or that represents them specifically.  Crystal wrote me that for her + Ryan’s engagement session, she wanted something that represented a snapshot (no pun intended) of their lives now… something they could look back on in years to come + see their old apt, their neighborhood, or what they did on a Sunday morning…  So we put together a shoot of just that…  what a lazy morning looks like, with their coffee + their dogs… hanging out in bed…  reading etc… we then strolled around their fort greene neighborhood of brooklyn.  i’ve never shot at a basketball court before, although they’re all over brooklyn, but that’s one of my favorite shots…  it’s oh so very bk.  + i also love that we grabbed a shot of their flower cart across the street from where they live…  where Ryan’s gets her flowers every weekend…

    Brooke! I LOVE these!! What a great idea these two had for this shoot. The way you captured them truly is unique and like no other photography I have seen lately.
