yogi love… matt + chelsea01.10.2013

in 2006 i decided to move back to the big island of hawaii for a little stint… i had just started working at the Kona Brewing Co. + in walked a girl with a sunny disposition + even sunnier out look on life. both being the new girls at work, we struck up a fast + furious friendship that’s seen more than a lot of lifetimes do. Chelsea + I traveled to India twice… (the first trip included a quiet brush with death (read : dengue feaver) that ended in a Bangkok hospital, with a great story to boot). we obviously both lived. the second trip included a week in Sri Lanka that was stretched into 3 because we both fell so hard for that lovely land. we’ve both come a long way from restuarant work in Kona, + Chelsea’s an amazing doula + L.A. based yoga instructor. having seen each other through a whole slew of boyfriends, when she started talking about a guy named Matt, I could tell he was different. i got to do their engagement photos on my last trip out to L.A. these portray them so perfectly. footloose, fancy free + beach loving… not to mention compeltely enamoured by each other in the only way two people should be… cannot wait for their wedding in July! (oh, + do take one of Chelsea’s amazing yoga trainings if that’s your sort of thing… she’s got a one of a kind gift…)
